European School of Haematology (ESH) and European Network for Rare and Congenital Anaemias (ENERCA) organize the european course entitled "Diagnosis and managment of very rare anaemias: a challange". The course will take place in Paris (France) the 3-4th of February 2012. This 2-days training will focus on harmonization of procedures for clinical and biological diagnosis as well as managment and follow-up of patients with very rare red cell disorders.

The Eurobiomed Meetings on Rare Diseases
Rare 2011 event is organized by Eurobiomed and largely supported by local and national public and private partners.
The goal of this meeting is to gather representatives of public and private sectors and to encourage partnerships between key pleyers in research and industry in order to fight agains rare diseases in Europe.
The meeting will be composed of :
- two French-speaking days with multiple conferences and workshops dedicated to policy, clinical trials, orphan drugs, financing tools, etc.
- and the European Day assigned to discussions on visibility of rare diseases in health information systems, the use of patients data and imrpovement of access to expertise and quality care for patients.

The Swiss Blackswan Foundation and Gebert Rüf Stiftung Foundation organize an international congress RE(ACT) 2012 dedicated to rare and orphan diseases.
The meeting will take place between 29th of February and 2nd of March 2012 in Basel, Switzerland.
It will focus on gene and cell therapy, stem cells, genomic disorders, diagnostics and therapeutic applications. General public, research community, industry and policy makers are invited to participate.

The "Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP): From Promise to Reality. Regulatory Path for Translation of Research in Commercial Medicinal Products" workshop is organized by the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Advanced Therapies (CAT).
