International Congress "RARE DISEASES AND ORPHAN DRUGS"

The International Congress "RARE DISEASES AND ORPHAN DRUGS" will be held at the Instituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) in Rome, on February 22nd-25th, 2010.

This meeting will be dedicated to research on rare diseases. On the 22nd of February results of the research projects, funded by the E-Rare 1st Joint Transnational Call for proposals (2007), will be presented. From the 23rd to the 25th of February the congress will be dedicated to research projects, funded within the frame of the bilateral cooperation between Italy and USA on rare diseases.

This Congress represents a true occassion for rare disease researchers to network, exchange information and introduce themselves to their peers.

Rare Disease Day

This year's focus of the Rare Disease Day is: Bridging Patients & Researchers. In this occasion, E-Rare is organizing together with Eurordis, a one-day meeting in Brussels, on March 1st, 2010.

During this meeting E-Rare will present results and conclusions of a survey on research priority areas that includes opinions of different groups of stakeholders in the field of rare diseases.

This meeting will be a unique opportunity to bring together rare diseases researchers, patients and policy makers.
